tenders for Design, Manufacture and Supply of Refiners.
Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL), which owns and successfully operates a 245,000 tpa newsprint/fine paper mill at Kagithapuram in the State of Tamil Nadu, India, is embarking upon a Mill Expansion Plan, by installing a new Paper machine (PM#3) at its mill to enhance the production by 155,000 tpa.
TNPL Invites sealed Bids for supply of five Low intensity Conical Refiners with test certificates. Out of five Low intensity Conical Refiners, one is for processing bleached bagasse pulp, two are for processing bleached hardwood pulp (in-house I purchased) and the remaining two are for processing bleached imported softwood pulp with specified operating and design parameters.
The Bidder shall be a reputed manufacturer of Conical Refiners and should have supplied at least twenty Refiners of not less than 100 tpd processing capacity during the past five years.
Interested Bidders may purchase a complete set of Bid Document against submission of a written application to TNPL and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD 100 or Indian Rupees 5,000/- by way of Banker`s Cheque / Demand Draft in favour of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited, payable at Karur, from the following address:

Alternatively, the Bidders can request for the Bid Document at free of cost from the above e-mail id or the links available from websites: www.tnpl.com / www.tenders.tn.gov.in and the fee can be remitted while submitting the bids.
A single stage, two-envelope (Technical Bid & Price Bid envelopes) bidding procedure will be followed. All Bids must be delivered to the office of TNPL not later than 15.00 hours on 6th October 2008. Technical Bids will be opened at 16.00 hours on the same day in the presence of the Bidders` representatives who choose to attend.
TNPL reserves the right to qualify the bids received and/or reject any or all the bids without assigning any reasons therefore.
