For erection of plant and machinery towards PM#1 Life Cycle Extension Programme
TNPL has embarked on a Life Cycle Extension (LCE) Programme of its Paper Machine # 1 (PM#1) with a view to achieve an extended residual life by installation of a new Dilution Control Headbox, Press section framings and other miscellaneous works.
TNPL now invites sealed Bids from a reputed Paper Machine Erection Contractor dismantling of existing components and Erection of new components viz., new Dilution Controlled Headbox, Press section framings, Dilution water screen etc.
The Bidder shall be a reputed/renowned Paper Machine Erector having good experience in dismantling and erection of High Speed Paper Machines in India or abroad. The Bidder should have done Paper Machine rebuild on at least Three Paper Machines of Deckle of 6000mm (minimum) and speed of 700 mpm (minimum) in the past six years.
A complete set of Bid Document may be purchased by any interested vendor on submission of a written application to TNPL and upon payment of a non-refundable fee Rs.5,000/- by Bankers Cheque/ Demand Draft in favour of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited, payable at Karur, from the following address:

Alternatively, the Bidders can request for the Bid Document at tree of cost from the above E-mail ID or the links available from websites : www.tnpl.com / www.tenders.tn.gov.in and the Tender Fee can be remitted while submitting the bids.
A single stage, two-envelope (Technical Bid and Price Bid envelopes) bidding procedure will be followed. All Bids must be delivered to the Office of TNPL not later than 15.00 hours on 13th October 2008. Technical Bide will be opened at 16.00 hours on the same day in the presence of the Bidders` representatives who choose to attend. TNPL reserves the right to qualify the bids received and/or reject any or all the bids, without assigning any reasons therefore.
