Notice Inviting Tender
1. The General Manager, Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad, (a unit of Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India Ltd., New Delhi) intends to procure One State-of-the-Art Technology CWSN Paper Machine for production of currency paper alongwith compatible Slitter, Sheet Cutter, inspection, Packaging Line & Mould Cover teaking Plant. The machine should be capable of producing minimum 4,000 MTs per annum finished paper. It should have facility to incorporate security features like water mark, windowed security thread, security fibers etc. The work would involve design, supply, installation and commissioning on turn key basis.
2. The Machine should be capable of Twin layer formation of paper in the substance range of 80 120 GSM with 100% cotton furnishes. Lt should have facility for insertion of windowed, magnetic machine readable and colour- shift (on one side) security -thread up to 6 mm width. Machine should have decide of minimum 2.7 Meters and Paper making speed of minimum 50 meters per minute. It should be integrated from approach 110w to reel end, online calendaring & Quality Control system. Machine to be water, steam & energy efficient and should be equipped with Distributed Control Systems (DCS.). It should have process automation display devices for present status of critical parameters (GSM, Thickness, Moisture, Colour co-ordinates of paper etc.) and fault diagnostics, memory devices to store operating parameters of the machine for one month, to ensure production of best quality paper. The machine shall include effective pollution control measures. The machines should have provision for ``Add-ons / modification to introduces new security features in future.
3. Pre-bid Conference: The prospective bidders are requested to forward their queries by 24.10.06 for discussion in pre-bid Conference by E-mail or fax to be held on 31.10.08 at Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad (MP). The bidders are requested to note that the tender may be amended after pre- bid Conference, if necessary. During pre -bid Conference, bidder should coma prepared alongwith detailed technical specifications of the Plant/ Equipment/ Machine proposed to be supplied. The bidder should also come prepared to discuss the commercial terms like advance payment letter of intent bank guarantee, fall clause, force majeure clause, jurisdiction, arbitration etc.
4. Prospective bidder who fulfills the eligibility condition may obtain tender document containing detail technical specifications and other terms and conditions from Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad, after pre-bid Conference and before 3 pm on 22nd November, 2008, by remitting Rs.5,000/- in the shape of A/c payee DD/ banker`s cheque in favour of GM, SPM, Hoshsngsbad, drawn on SBI, SPM Branch, Hoshangabad.
5. The NIT alongwith tender documents would also be available on our websites www.spm.nic.in and www.spmcil.com after 07.10.08 and bidders can obtain the same from the said websites and submit the tender duly filled in all respects before the prescribed due date to the General Manager, Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad (MP).
6. The General Manager, Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad (MP) reserves the right to accept or reject arty of the tenders without assigning any reason.
7. Last application and tenders will not be entertained.
