Weldon on the fast track

Weldon has developed self adhesive tamper evident tapes and labels that work with shippers made out of corrugated board, duplex board cartons, paper envelopes, poly bags, Plastic containers, etc. These tapes and labels provide multiple levels of security and tamper evident features built into them. They also prevent pilferage and multiple levels of security. Some of the distinct features of the products are that on the first effort to remove the tape or label, the top filmic layer peels off, showing words,'VOID OPEN'indicating tampering. Even though the second level of security is breached, the second layer which is a paper tape will still be on the carton protecting the contents. If someone tries to remove these they will spilt to smaller pieces. The top layer is siliconised so no more tapes will anchor well on the tape. These new developments will be showcased at the India Packaging show for the first time.

In another development Harveer Singh Sahni, managing director of India’s Weldon Celloplast group had been recruited to join FINAT’s Membership Committee. FINAT has been expanding its interest and involvement in label printing in the Far East and led the way in creating an Indo-European label exchange programme aimed at introducing closer links between printers in both zones. 'With Mr Sahni joining our Membership Committee, he brings to us unrivalled knowledge of the industry in his country and will help promote FINAT in that globally important area. After the success of the Indo-European label exchange programme, we have come to the conclusion that our ability to give exclusive information and create networking opportunities can be of the utmost support to the growth of the Indian label industry,' Said Jan Frederik Vink, President, FINAT
