To announce expansion plans soon
Weldon was the lone Indian exhibitor at the recently concluded Labelexpo at Brussels. The UL certified ISO:9001:2000 company that manufacturers self adhesive label stock has its head office in New Delhi and manufacturing plants at Faridabad an Haryana and at Mumbai. The company is a prominent and innovative producer of self-adhesive label stock in the country and offers a variety of customized self-adhesive label materials, specialty tapes and security label stocks. Its range of products also includes materials for variable information printing like direct thermal and thermal transfer for barcode, price marking and computer labels in fanfold and A4 format and laminated direct thermal label stock for airline baggage tags, etc.
The company has been steadily increasing its exports over the last two or three years. The participation in the Labelexpo is a sign that the Indian company wants to go global in a bigger way.
``We offer quality as per European standards and at cheaper rates,`` says Harveer Singh Sahni about his company`s USP. Weldon already exports 15% of its production to countries like Iran, UAE, UK, Ukraine and Jordan. The exposure at the Labelexpo have given them openings in Australia, Turkey, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, New Caledonia, Cameroon and Bahrain. ``We have a fair understanding of the global market now and will be honing our strategies to increase our exports,`` says Sahni.
The company is planning an investment in faster coating machines as part of its strategy to focus on exports and expects to announce its expansion plans soon.
