Teknek comes to India with contact cleaning technology

Established in 1984, and having a staff of more than 180 people, Teknek is located at 9 sites worldwide. It has 90 plus distributors and over 12,000 installations of the Teknek Clean Machine technology. With these statistics under its belt, Teknek claims it is the undisputed world leader in contact cleaning. Recently, Teknek has set up its subsidiary at Delhi.
“The name of the machine is Mini Web and the MWC models have been introduced at a special price for the Indian market’’, claims Raj Kumar Rana, Sales Manager India, Teknek Asia Ltd. Rana says, ‘‘Contact Cleaning with Teknek elastomer rollers has been proven to be the most efficient cleaning method available today. The rollers remove particles of contamination down to one micron in size and transfer these particles onto a highly engineered precision adhesive roll, where the contamination is trapped. Either a passive anti-static system or active (electro) antistatic bars are available as an option and can be easily retrofitted.”
Both systems ensure dust is not attracted to the cleaned web. Dust causes downtime and rejects – costing your company money, lost productivity, and valuable man-hours. Users testify that the integration of a Teknek cleaner is a cost effective solution to unplanned line stops and scrapped material.
He adds, ‘‘The MWC 254 has been widely accepted by all sections of the industry and we have sold nine machines since August 2005. We have five orders in hand and our target is to sell 400 machines within the next two years. Our MWC model is the most economical and is fast becoming popular not only in India but also China and Thailand. We are also planning to launch MWC 300 and MWC 354 in India soon.’’
