TOI to acquire a sophisticated range of presses
Orders three Colormans from MAN Roland

The publishers of The Times of India and The Economic Times, Bennet Coleman, have placed an order for three Colorman presses for their Mumbai and Delhi centres. These are the largest ever presses ordered by an Indian publisher with 6 towers and two folders and balloon formers in each press configuration.
The double width double circumference presses will be capable of printing a far higher number of broadsheet pages in full colour in a single section, (as many as 48), than ever before by an Indian publisher. The configuration allows the printing of either a single large section or two separate sections with almost any combination of the 48 pages in full colour. Pagination can be even higher for monochrome or spot colour pages.
TOI is also installing a Regioman (4X1)four pages across and one page around press at its Bangalore plant.
TOI already runs several Geoman presses in both its Mumbai suburban unit at Kandivili and at its Delhi suburban unit at Sahibabad.
