Skymark Packaging Invests In Kit
The company has acquired a fully automatic Kiefel 3 layer blown extrusion line.

Skymark Packaging Group, the flexible materials and packaging manufacturer, has acquired a fully automatic Kiefel 3 layer blown extrusion line.

The company said the investment would enable it to meet the demands of reducing the amount of packaging in the supply chain.

It has also bought a Nordmeccanica Solventless Simplex Laminator, which will be installed at its Leominster, Herefordshire site in September.

Dan Richards, sales development manager, said: `We have seen significant growth in lamination barrier films and especially in the stand up pouches range of products. With this investment we can continue on the same track by offering high quality, fast and flexible response with continued service.`

Skymark said it has also tripled its recycling capacity by investing in reclamation equipment which will boost its recycling output to 7,500 MT per annum.
