Skanem Introl Installs Gallus RCS430
The machine has been installed to help meet rising customer demands.

Skanem, the self-adhesive label manufacturer, has installed a Gallus RCS printing press at its Introl plant in Poland to help meet rising customer demand.

Skanem Introl in Poznan has a total of 11 Gallus presses, but it said the new RCS430 would be particularly useful for producing more complex labels such as Peel-n Read ones.

The machine has a print width of 0.43m and a length of 17.5m. It can print 10 colour with two units to apply cold foil that can be introduced at any stage on the machine.

Technical support manager Marcin Sobánski said the `great advantage` of using RCS machines was the fact that the individual units could be easily replaced.

The press has flexo aggregates with six units that can be used for offset. The offset units are to be delivered at the start of 2009.

Norwegian-owned Skanem has 11 production sites worldwide, including a plant in Thailand that opened last year.
