Prices of polymer products take a dip at RIL
Reliance Industries has slashed polymer prices across the board. This follows the fall in international prices of naphtha and crude oil. The price of partially oriented yarn (POY) is down by Rs 6 to Rs 67 per kg while that of polyester staple fibre (PSF) has been reduced by Rs 7 to Rs 60.50, media reports say.
Purified terephthalic acid (PTA) prices have been cut by Rs 4.80 to Rs 37.50 and mono ethylene glycol prices have been lowered by Rs 11.50 to Rs 37.10. Polyethylene prices have been lowered by Rs 5 to Rs 49.50, polypropylene by Rs 7 to Rs 50.40 while the prices of polyvinyle chloride is cut by Rs 6 to Rs 38 per kg. RIL has, however retained the existing price of Rs 64.30 for linear alkyl benzene.
