Packaging industry to be plastics` highest consumer.
‘Packaging will still play a vital role in plastic consumption’- This is the prediction of industry analysts for the year 2005.
The packaging industry will continue to play its ‘historical role’ in the growth of consumption of plastic and polymer material in India however, further expansion of the industry lies in development of infrastructure, including water supply and agriculture analysts further predicted.
“China and India are emerging as big consumption centers of plastics,” said K.G Kapse, V.P, Reliance industry during a two day seminar on ‘Global business opportunities in plastics’.
