Lexmark Targets Government Sector
Ties up with Ingram_Micro, Savex Computers and SES Technologies

Lexmark India, subsidiary of the $4.6bn printing solutions company, Lexmark International, Inc. of the United States, has identified the government sector as its growth driver.

According to P G Kamath, country manager for India, Lexmark had recently entered the government contracts` space, bidding for projects in several States including Andhra Pradesh. ``Our USP is that we offer complete printing solutions, which comes with our MarkVision network management software`` Kamath said.

Lexmark, which was spun off from IBM in 1991, had expanded its distribution network in the country, tying up with Ingram_Micro, Savex Computers and SES Technologies. ``Ingram-Micro helps us in broadbasing our consumer business, while Savex and SES give us access to niche markets`` adds Kamath. Lexmark would soon be launching its all-in-one product, which includes a printer, scanner, fax and copier, in the country. This will be aimed at the home-segment and small businesses.
