LCCI urges Pakistani Government not to import paper from India



Pakistan’s paper manufacturers have urged the Pakistani government not to allow import of paper from India. According to the media reports, the consensus was developed at a seminar held at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The speakers argued that India wanted to sell its surplus quantity initially at attractive prices in order to capture Pakistani market. The seminar was presided over by the LCCI President Misbahur Rehman, Shamim Ahmad Malik, Convener LCCI Standing Committee on paper industry, Kamran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Pulp Paper and Paper Board Manufacturers Association and Aizad Sajid, Chief Executive Sajid Paper Mills were the key speakers.
