IWKA, one of the world's largest manufacturers of packaging machinery, is set to substantially expand operations in India. One of their best-known group companies Hassia Packaging (formerly Hassia Redatron) already has a manufacturing plant in Pune where they produce form-fill-seal machines which are making a substantial impact in the Indian market. They are reportedly looking at setting up manufacture of other packaging machinery as well in India starting with their well-known aluminium blister packaging line where both components are made from aluminium foil .
They have already taken over the direct marketing and customer servicing of all their machinery from their erstwhile agents and representatives.
