Heidelberg India Installs Another Flexo Press in Mumbai
Janus International goes hi-tech with Gallus EM 280
Janus International Pvt. Ltd., a Mumbai based offset label printer, servicing mainly the liquor and the breweries industry, has acquired the new Gallus EM 280. In India, the Gallus products are distributed and serviced by Heidelberg India Pvt. Ltd.
The new machine would help Janus` growing label demand in its expanded markets of liquor, pharmaceuticals, personal care and the FMCG sectors.
``Press features, increasing demands on quality, productivity and reliability made us brainstorm on what was the best we could get. And Heidelberg India`s service and support prompted us to go for the Gallus EM 280 flexo press,`` says Joe Annunciation of Janus International.
The Gallus EM 280 has a maximum print size of 280 mm and can print on substrates like papers, films and boards from 38 micron to 280 gsm. It is a very versatile and flexible machine for combining printing processes with a short set up time for each job, quick change platform and a rapid ink change system.
Sudhir Samant, Business Manager Flexo, Heidelberg India, is much an elated man today. ``The growing flexo demand is a good sign and we see a good year ahead,`` says Samant, not disclosing the other flexo orders in process to protect customer interest.
This is the fourth successful Gallus EM 280 model that has been moved since the collaboration of Heidelberg and Gallus, back in 1999. Since the time Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG bought 30% stake in Gallus group the two companies have been working in close collaboration.
