MICO Bosch Introduces New FFS Machine
Mico Bosch, the Indian arm of Robert Bosch – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of FFS machines – have introduced India’s first FFS machine that is capable of packing up to 10 kgs. of product.
The machine can handle free-flowing products like Wheat Flour, Rice, White Cement, Seeds and Biofertilisers and fills a long-felt need for equipment that can turn out bulk packs for agri-products and chemicals.
Designated the TERRA 40, it can fill weights ranging from 500 grams to 10 kilograms with filling accuracies of +/- 0.75% for 5 kgs. and +/- 0.50% for 10 kgs. It delivers an output of 8 - 10 bags per minute for 10 kgs. packs and 13 - 15 bags per minute for 5 kgs. packs.
The bag types that can be produced are centre-seam pillow pouches, gusseted pouches or block-bottom bags. The machine can handle either plain polyethylene film or multilayered laminates in reels of upto 450 mm. outer diameter wound on 70 mm. – 77 mm. cores.
Bag sizes can range from 150 mm. to 400 mm. in width and 150 mm. to 700 mm. in height (recommended size for a 10 kg. atta pack is 390 mm. width x 580 mm. height – this uses a reel of 810 mm. width).
Bag cutting is done by a pneumatically operated knife mechanism and all controls including temperature controls are electronically linked to a PLC. The machine is also fitted with an antistatic device.
An optional nitrogen flushing system can be integrated with the machine manufactured by MICO Bosch and the basic machine comes with a belt transport system that can handle pillow pouches, gusseted bags or block-bottom bags.
Filling systems are tailored for the product and options include an auger filler, cup filler or linear gravimetric filler that is controlled by an electronic load cell.
These machines have already been supplied to Delhi Flour Mills and Uttara Foods for 5 kgs. and 10 kgs. atta packing and to L T Overseas for 5 kgs.and10 kgs. rice packing.
