Brief us on the new launch Dolphin 6100.
Dolphin 6100 is a stylish and reliable mobile computer that provides advanced data collection and real time wireless communication for in-premise applications including price lookup/audits, inventory management, customer assistance, and merchandising.
It provides mobile workers with tools needed to streamline tasks, improve productivity and maximise investment protection.
Tell us about the acquisition of Hand Held Products and Metrologic.
Honeywell Scanning and Mobility (HSM) is a result of the acquisition of Hand Held Products and Metrologic, two established data capture and collection businesses. This deal has helped us expand and strengthen our presence and support our customers with broader solutions in a variety of retail point-of-scale, industrial, healthcare, inventory and distribution applications.
Why the decision of entering AIDC industry?
The AIDC space in India is really exciting and has huge potential for growth driven by the increased demand for information along the supply chain. We are pleased that Honeywell Scanning and Mobility is now part of Honeywell India’s business portfolio and fits well with our existing product portfolio and India growth strategy.
This being the global launch of Dolphin 6100, don’t you think the international retail market is already saturated?
The retail global market is matured, no doubt. But as it is all driven by productivity, accuracy and perfect flow in supply chain is tough. Due to competition, new products that can ease their process or add value are always welcomed.
Honeywell is a well known brand. What benefits does it see in participating in events like PackPlus?
We believe that PackPlus has helped us in having better interaction with customers. Here we are reachable, free to sit and talk with our clients, meet their queries and also understand what they are looking for. Besides the show has also helped us make people know about our foray into the AIDC segment.
