EskoArtwork Acquires Mikkelsen Graphic Engineering
The move follows almost four years of collaboration between the two firms.

EskoArtwork, the packaging pre-production specialist, has acquired Mikkelsen Graphic Engineering (MGE) for an undisclosed sum.

The move follows almost four years of collaboration between the two firms, particularly EskoArtwork's Kongsberg digital finishing tables, which MGE distributes to the US sign and display market.

EskoArtwork president and chief executive Carsten Knudsen said the acquisition would allow the company to serve the market `as one strong entity`.

`Well over 50 percent of all Kongsberg tables sold at Drupa will be delivered with MGE's intelligent vision system for finishing tables included,` he added.

MGE operations will function as a `strategic business unit` headed by founder Steen Mikkelsen, who has become a vice president of EskoArtwork.

EskoArtwork has also announced the development of a bi-directional interface between its ArtiosCAD design software and SAP's enterprise resource planning software at Swiss firm Model Group. Cenit and Dr Lauterbach & Partner are also involved in the project.
