Jencoder is one of the sponsors of PackPlus 2009. What made you take this approach?
We participated in PackPlus for the first time. Our aim was to make people know our wide presence in India as well also showcase our products. Sponsoring the Show appeared to be a perfect platform for promotion and the stall helped us put our products on display. It was a two-way profit for us.
Tell us about the products you displayed at the Show.
We had put a complete range of Optical Encoders on display at PackPlus including high precision hollow and solid shaft encoders for applications in packaging, machine tool, textile and material handling industry.
How did you find the quality of visitors at PackPlus?
PackPlus is a serious show. We had many quality visitors with enquiries. This has helped us to plan our approach in printing & packaging market.
What kind of deals did you get in?
There are several follow-ups and we would be turning them into deals very soon. Our products have many features not found commonly even in offshore products like unbreakable disk option, advanced opto-asic technology etc. One major advantage we find in an event like PackPlus is that we can demonstrate our technology from decision makers to potential customers. We also get to see what other companies are coming up with, what the market trends are, what people are looking for and where does the potential lie. It is like an R&D process.
What is Jencoder coming up with in nearby future?
We are a market driven company. We are seeing some trends towards higher end encoders like absolute encoders in Indian market. In the years to come the company looks forward to building a wide variety of Optical Encoders meeting international quality norms.
