Creo Releases New Spire CXP6000 Server for Xerox Digital Press
Designed to meet variable data printing needs at an affordable price

Spire CXP6000 Server

Creo Inc. announced the newest member of the Spire™ color server line - the Spire™ CXP6000 server - designed to drive the new Xerox® DocuColor® 6060 Digital Color Press. The CXP6000 server is based on a new Spire platform that integrates advanced Fusion imaging hardware technology from Creo. The new Fusion hardware boards assemble pages at printer-rated speeds and impose on the fly while sending pages to the printer. Fusion technology allows Spire users to take full advantage of the 60 full-color-pages-per-minute production rate of the Xerox DocuColor 6060 Digital Color Press. The same technology also powers the Spire color server that drives the Xerox DocuColor iGen3™ Digital Production Press.

Hardware boards built using Fusion technology are about one-quarter the size of second-generation Creo boards, but pack four times the processing power. As a result, it takes fewer boards to drive even the most powerful printers. Because the technology is very cost-efficient, CXP6000 users will not pay a premium for the value and quality delivered by the field-proven Spire systems. The new hardware makes the CXP6000 an extremely powerful color server, designed to meet the demands of variable data printing at an affordable price. Now available through Xerox, the CXP6000 server will also be showcased at Graph Expo this autumn.
