CDB plans to market tender coconut water in tetrapacks
In talks with leading supermarkets to stock and sell
In a move to promote consumption of tender coconut water, the coconut Development Board (CDB) proposes to market tender coconut water in tetrapaks. These tender coconut packs can be consumed for six months from the date of manufacture. The board has proposed to outsource packed coconut water from south-based companies – Jain Agro Products and Shakti Food Agro Products under the brand `Coco Gel` and `Tender Coco`. The packs are available in 200ml packs priced at Rs 10. For marketing purposes, the board is in talks with leading supermarkets and Khadi Village Bhandars to stock and sell the products.
