Bilt to enter trading in paper
Also to set up a marketing subsidiary


Ballarpur Industries Ltd (Bilt) is drawing up plans to enter into trading of paper and to set up a marketing subsidiary to sell paper made by other Indian companies as well as imported paper. The company is planning at doing paper volumes of about a million tons per annum.
Meanwhile, Bilt is planning to acquire plantations of at least 10,000 hectares in either Malaysia, Indonesia or Myanmar in order to source pulp for its paper manufacturing operations in India. They also plan to put up a pulp mill close to the plantation.
