Adobe Live Show Brings KPG and Cannon Together
KPG Digital Solutions Division has added the Canon CLC printer series to its product line up

Following their success at Northprint, an exhibition focusing upon the latest innovations in equipment and processes covering the entire range of pre-press, press and print finishing, Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) and Canon UK are jointly exhibiting at Adobe Live 2005 at the Business Design Centre in London.
The demonstration by Canon includes a CLC1180 colour copier being driven by a KPG Matchprint professional server, one of several digital output systems available from the two manufacturers.
Following a deal last year, KPG's Digital Solutions Division has added the Canon CLC printer series, which includes the CLC110, CLC1160, CLC1180, CLC3220 and CLC5100, to its product line up.
The range of CLC products is targeted at digital service providers, such as service bureaux and pre-press houses, as well as small to medium sized commercial printers.
The digital systems will allow KPG customers to produce fast turn-around four-colour printing and take advantage of emerging markets for high-quality, short run print, KPG officials revealed according to media reports.
The CLC1100 series, combined with KPG's Matchprint server, is claimed to be suitable to proofing and very short run work, whilst the Canon CLC4000 and CLC5100, combined with the Canon Colorpass servers, are designed for short run and variable data applications.
Tony Suckling, divisional sales manager for digital solutions at KPG said ,`` We are delighted to be working with Canon again to demonstrate our combined colour solutions. Our continued relationship highlights both companies' continued commitment to define high-quality short run colour technologies for a growing marketplace.’’ Sofia Dahlqvist, channel marketing professional at Canon Business Solutions added,``Canon strongly believes that digital is the key to remaining competitive in today's evolving graphic arts arena.’’
Canon and KPG are working together to promote a full range of products, services and solutions to stay at the forefront of digital print.
