A `Total` Experience For The Visitors In Store
India`s biggest packaging show is here
The annual packaging event organised by Print-Packaging.com (P) Ltd., is being hyped as India’s Total Packaging Event. 'It brings together the segments of end-of-line packaging, package printing, corrugated packaging, food and pharma processing, automation and Auto ID technologies in one total event that will be the largest packaging exhibition yet seen in the country' says Neetu Arora on behalf of the organisers. The event will have a touch of latest technology and innovation as the underlying theme.
The event brings together 8 niche shows in a concurrent exhibition- India Packaging Show, India Converting Show, India Corrugated Show, India Flexo Show, Food Technology Show, Pharma Technology Show, India Automation Show and India AIDC Show.
That the event will surpass the 2007 edition, which was till then the largest industry event, is a foregone conclusion. With over 325 exhibiting companies (over 450 represented companies) occupying 6000 Sqm of exhibition space (14000 Sqm gross space) in 3 halls, the visitors are in for a major feast. 'The exhibition is virtually sold out and with nearly 300 exhibitors already in place, the house full board will go up any time soon,' adds Arora.
The biggest names in the business are there along with several small and medium sized companies and several first time exhibitors. There are exhibitors from China, Taiwan, Europe and the USA. 'This would be the largest congregation of running machines seen in any packaging event,' promises Arora. The exhibition will also feature many product launches and new materials being introduced in the country for the first time. Leading players in automation will be present among the exhibitors (another first for a packaging event) underlying the focus on technology and innovation.
The annual PackAge conference would feature over twenty presentations in separate sessions for packaging, converting and corrugated packaging. The focus will again be on technologies and innovation specifically useful for food, pharma and retail industries.
The US based Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) will be back with a 2-day converting school that will address the issues associated with web handling and converting.
The Federation of Corrugated Box Manufacturers of India (FCBM) will host its quarterly Managing committee meeting at the venue itself with nearly 100 leading corrugators from the country expected to attend. Indian Flexographic Technical Association (IFTA) is also contemplating a training course to be held concurrently.
Print-Packaging.com has also constituted annual PackAwards for innovation in packaging that will be given away at a special programme during the event.
The 2007 show had received over 13000 visitors. 'The portents are for a even larger visitor turnout this time and could easily exceed 15000,' predicts Arora.
